Long-Term Parking Permits

Undergraduate students living in the IUP residence halls can purchase a permit for the Long-Term Robertshaw parking lot, located at 110 Robertshaw Dr. The lot is three-fourths of a mile from the center of campus and is located next to the IUP Police Department. Students can walk the paved walkway or ride the IndiGo shuttle to their residence hall.    

The cost of the long-term Robertshaw permit is $225 and will be valid for the fall and spring semesters only. The long-term Robertshaw permits expire on the date of spring graduation and must be purchased again, starting August 1, for the beginning of the fall semester. The permit can be purchased through your Parking Portal Account with a Visa, MasterCard, or Discover card. Permits can also be purchased in the Parking and Transportation Office with cash, check, or Crimson Cash. Step-by-step instructions are available. The long-term Robertshaw permits are virtual.

Current students can also purchase long-term permits by the week. The cost is $10 and must be purchased in the Parking and Transportation Office with cash, check, or Crimson Cash. Guest permits are available, if needed.  

The long-term Robertshaw parking permit allows you to park in the Robertshaw West long-term parking lot. Vehicles may be brought to the Indiana campus for the purpose of loading and unloading only. Four-way flashers must be activated in the loading/unloading zones. Violators will be ticketed and/or towed at the vehicle owner’s expense. This is applicable 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year.

Please be prepared for Western Pennsylvania winter weather conditions. While our maintenance department will clear the main drive lanes, residual snow will remain around your vehicle. You will be responsible for removing the snow to get into your vehicle. It is recommended that you have a snow shovel and be prepared for cold weather when snowy weather conditions are present. 

If the permit will not be used for the entire term, please email parking-services@iup.edu with your full name, university ID number, and the reason you are requesting a refund. A refund will be issued on a prorated basis through the Student Billing Office. Approved prorated refunds will be calculated using the date Parking Services received the refund request email. Retroactive refund requests will not be approved.

Undergraduate students living in the IUP residence halls and looking for long-term parking in the summer should contact the Parking and Transportation Office.

Graduate students living in the IUP residence halls can obtain a permit to park in the Pratt Suites East lot. Graduate students must have an active Long-term Robertshaw Lot permit before upgrading to a Pratt Suites East Lot permit. Long-term Robertshaw permits can be purchased through your Parking Portal Account or at the Parking and Transportation Office. Step-by-step instructions are available.

To obtain the Pratt Suites East Lot permit, graduate students should go to the Parking and Transportation Office. Pratt Suites East Lot permits are allotted per semester. Undergraduate students living in an IUP residence hall are not eligible for a Graduate Pratt Suites East Lot permit.
