Spring Commencement for Master’s and Doctoral Students

    Graduating Students: RSVP Required for Commencement

    The deadline is May 1, 2017.

    • Sign into MyIUP using your IUP network account.
    • Click the “Home” link.
    • In the “Graduation Preparation” section, click “RSVP for commencement ceremony.” (You’ll see this option only if you’ve applied for the current semester graduation.)

    Any student who RSVP’s on or after May 1 may not see their name appear in the ceremony program, as final drafts will be sent to print on this date. It is strongly advised that you RSVP before May 1 to ensure your name appears in the program.

    Salute to Grads

    • Tuesday, April 4, 10:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.
    • Co-op Store
    • Purchase your cap and gown, order graduation announcements, and more.
  • The spring commencement ceremony for master’s, doctoral, and MFA students will be held on Friday, May 12, 2017, at 7:00 p.m. in the Performing Arts Center, Fisher Auditorium. Students are required to report no layer than 6:00 p.m. for the ceremony.

    Tickets are not needed for this event.

    Degree and Diploma Information

    If you have questions about whether or not you have met all degree requirements, please contact your graduate advisor immediately. Degrees are awarded by the School of Graduate Studies and Research, and diplomas will be mailed four to six weeks after grades are posted.

    Graduation Regalia

    Caps, gowns, and announcements will be available at the Salute to Grads event at the Co-op Store or during regular business hours at the Co-op.

    Guests With Special Needs

    There is designated special-needs seating in Fisher Auditorium, and seating passes are not necessary. Special needs parking, with a handicapped permit or placard, is available on a first-come basis in the Clark Hall lot.
