The graduate commencement ceremony will take place at the Kovalchick Convention and Athletic Complex (KCAC) at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, May 5, 2023.
The doors to the KCAC will open for family and friends one and a half hours before the ceremony start time. Please be aware that once you have entered, no re-entry will be permitted.
A video livestream of all the ceremonies will be provided for additional family and friends to be part of the graduation event.
Graduates, family, and friends are invited to attend a Celebration Toast for graduating students. Champagne and non-alcoholic sparkling cider will be available. IUP graduates will receive an IUP Alumni champagne flute, while supplies last. Registration is required.

Graduate University Commencement Ceremony
Begins promptly at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, May 5.

Arrive at the Kovalchick Convention and Athletic Complex no later than 6:00 p.m.

Doors open for family and friends attending the ceremony at 5:30 p.m.

Arrive prepared, dressed in your regalia (cap, gown, tassel, hood, etc.).

Graduates will follow directional signage and use the dedicated, graduates-only entrance #21 located on the west/stadium side of the Kovalchick Complex. Upon arrival, you will be guided to the PNC Room.

Designated parking lots near the ceremonies and across the IUP campus will be used for commencement parking at no charge. See the IUP campus parking and shuttle route maps for details.

A professional photography company will be on hand to take pictures. They will contact you by email within a few weeks following the ceremony.
