Tutoring Center
The Tutoring Center has moved and is now located in 103 Stabley Library The IUP Tutoring Center holds in-person tutoring sessions for a variety of subjects.
Departmental Tutoring
- Tutoring for business-related courses
- Chemistry and physics tutoring offered by the Madia Department of Chemistry, Biochemistry, Physics, and Engineering
- Tutoring for mathematics courses
- Tutoring for computer science courses
SkillZone
SkillZone is a free drop-in center for all IUP international students and scholars (American Language Institute, undergraduate, exchange, and graduate) to access support for their classes and to develop academic skills for success, such as
- Presentation and communication skills
- Study strategies
- Managing classroom expectations
- Understanding academic integrity expectations
- Group discussions
Supplemental Instruction
Supplemental Instruction sessions are offered for select introductory-level courses, primarily in natural sciences and required for majors. Peer leaders assist students with how to learn course content via active, collaborative learning. In these sessions, you will review lecture notes, clarify text material, and prepare for exams as a group.
