Please be advised that there will be a planned power outage for the entire Indiana campus starting at 9:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 29, and ending before 5:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 30. This outage is to finalize power to the new chiller plant.  All buildings on campus will be affected by this outage.

We are confident that the power will be restored to normal operation prior to the 5:00 a.m. deadline.

If you have questions relating to this notice, please contact Steve Markiewicz at smarkiew@iup.edu.

As always, we appreciate your cooperation during this brief but necessary disruption.

Additional Message from IT Services related to the power outage:

Please plan to power down all electronic systems and devices. Also, please keep in mind that Remote Desktop to office desktops will not be available during this outage.

IT Services has virtual computers (Virtual Computer Lab – VCL) that staff and students can log into if access to network drives is required (i.e., O, X drives).  However, a laptop or PC is required.  Access to the VCL is available 24/7/365.  The instructions for connecting to the VCL are on the website at https://www.iup.edu/ITSupportCenter/get-support/software/vcl/index.html.  If an IUP-imaged laptop or desktop is being used, the VMWare Horizon Client is already available on the systems from the start menu.  Otherwise, it must be downloaded, as outlined on the website.

Any IT-related support or questions can be logged via https://ihelp.iup.edu
