Women attending the 2010 conference

The President's Commission on the Status of Women at IUP hosts an annual conference focused on the personal and professional development of women. For the past two years, the event has been cosponsored by Indiana Regional Medical Center's Spirit of Women.

The fifth annual conference, “In Sisterhood,” will take place Wednesday, May 30, 2012, at the Kovalchick Convention and Athletic Complex. Participants may attend for a full day, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., or just the morning or afternoon session. Both half-day sessions include lunch and the keynote presentation.

The keynote speaker will be Ruth Modzelewski, mission coordinator with the Susan G. Komen for the Cure's Pittsburgh affiliate.

The conference also features workshops on women's health, social media and technology, organizational tips, diet and nutrition, family management, meditation and yoga, self-defense, and workplace ergonomics. Find an event schedule or more information about our workshops.
