Safety Sciences Career Fair Registration Opens June 1!

The IUP Safety Sciences annual career fair will be on September 20-22, 2023, this year. Wednesday, September 20, will be the Meet and Greet event at the KCAC from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. On Thursday, September 21, recruiters will attend the sit-down luncheon at 11:30, and the career fair event will take place from 1:00 to 3:30 at the KCAC. Interview spaces can be reserved for Thursday evening and all day Friday. Look for registration to open on June 1. Hope to see you there! Contact Tracey Cekada at cekadat@iup.edu with questions.

Researchers Awarded MEMIC Grant to Help Reduce Workplace Slips, Trips, Falls

The MEMIC Group, specialists in workers’ compensation insurance, has awarded $30,000 to a faculty research team in IUP’s Department of Safety Sciences to investigate ways to limit workplace slips, trips, and falls.

To be named a Provost Scholar, students must have earned a minimum of 45 semester hours at IUP with a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 or higher. Provost Scholar recognition is given only once during a student’s time of study at IUP.
