All students can register for summer session classes starting March 30. Registration begins March 30 for fall classes, with veterans registering first, and all other student groups in the following days. See the full schedule and directions on how to check your registration window.
If you haven’t already, it is important to meet with your academic advisor to plan your classes so that you get the classes you need toward your degree.
Check Your Registration Time
Confirm what day your registration window opens by going to MyIUP and locating the Your Registration Time card on your Dashboard. Don’t see the card? You can also find your time by going to the Course Registration and Holds card, clicking Registration Toolbox, then Prepare for Registration. Choose the term for registration in the dropdown and click Continue.
Check for Holds
Check for holds in MyIUP (on the Course Registration and Holds card). A hold can prevent you from registering for classes. If you find a hold, follow the directions on the hold to resolve it as soon as possible. If you’re having trouble getting a hold cleared, your navigator can point you in the right direction. This semester, there is a new “registration hold” instead of alternative PINs for undergraduate students. Advisors will remove the hold after your advising session. Graduate students do not receive a PIN or hold. Learn more about this change to PINs.
Use Degree Works to Plan Your Classes
Use Degree Works for a personalized, interactive look at what you’ve taken so far for your degree—and which classes you still need. Learn more about using Degree Works and the Student Educational Planner.
Meet with Your Academic Advisor
Talk with your academic advisor to plan to receive course recommendations. You will find your academic advisor’s information listed in MyIUP by accessing the Student Dashboard and viewing your Student Profile.
