Math Placement Information

Indiana University of Pennsylvania requires all first-year and transfer students to complete a proctored math placement unless they have been awarded appropriate math credit for their major. Requirements are based on the undergraduate catalog at the time of enrollment.

Placement score requirements for Mathematics courses are currently under review. Changes should be finalized prior to the beginning of the fall 2025 semester. The website will be updated as additional information becomes available.
