“XX” Exhibit: Female Artists from Museum’s Collection

Curated by Jen Blalock and Ashley Bouton, the University Museum’s “XX” is a showcase of artwork from the museum’s permanent collection created by female artists. “XX” will open Monday, May 23, 2016, with a public reception from 6:00 to 8:30 p.m. The show will run until June 11. Admission is free.

Community Music School Presents Young Voices Concert

The IUP Community Music School will present a Young Voices concert at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 30, 2016, in DiCicco Hall, Cogswell Hall, on the IUP main campus. The program will feature private students from the school’s voice studios, as well as the Crimson Youth and Voice choirs.

Arnaldo Cohen to Present Open Masterclass

On Monday, April 25, 2016, the Lively Arts will present Steinway Artist Arnaldo Cohen in a special masterclass session at 6:30 p.m. He will be in town to present a full concert on Tuesday, April 26, as part of the Ovations! series.

As a finale to the 2015–16 Ovations! series, the Lively Arts welcomes Arnaldo Cohen, who will perform on Tuesday, April 26, 2016, at 8:00 p.m. in Gorell Recital Hall.

Music Library Hosts Noontime Q&A with American Tapestry

The University Libraries and Lively Arts final combined event of the season will present a question-and-answer session by American Tapestry on Thursday, April 14, 2016, in Cogswell Hall, Room 101 (Music Library). The event will start at noon, and admission is free.
