IUP held the National Security Agency/National Science Foundation-sponsored GenCyber Summer 2022 Advanced camp virtually in June 2022. The camp addressed essential security concepts through hands-on activities, challenging projects, and guest lectures by leaders of industry.

Advanced Camp (Middle and High School Students)

  • Camp Dates: June 13-17, 2022
  • Camp's focus was on several technical topics on cybersecurity and safe online behavior.

Participation Advantages

  1. The camp was offered at no cost to participants.
  2. The camp was offered online so participants joined from the comfort of their homes using their own computers.
  3. Instructions and mentorship from IUP faculty and other security experts.
  4. Valuable knowledge and skills that prepares participants to know more about a very promising and growing career field.
  5. A small-sized computer (Raspberry Pi) kit was awarded to each participant.
