Responsibilities and Achievements

Andrea Hoovler is a field-based instructor in the Department of Career and Wellness Education.

Andrea is a certified elementary and special education instructor. Her master’s degree work focused on curriculum, design, and instruction. Her post-master’s studies included certifications as a principal and special education supervisor.

Prior to her employment in higher education, Andrea worked in the public-school sector as an administrator, teacher, advisor, and mentor. She has taught students with disabilities in full-time settings to fully inclusive settings. She has experience co-teaching with colleagues and has presented models for success at both local, regional, and state conferences. Andrea’s career experience has included education and administration positions within daycare, elementary, high school, career center, and higher education settings.
