The Stewart Scholarship shall provide scholarship support, and will be presented at the Departmental Awards Ceremony in May to a student who meets the following criteria, as selected by the awards committee of the Department of Criminology and Criminal Justice.
- Must be a declared major in the Department of Criminology and Criminal Justice
- Must have attained junior or senior status, as defined by the university, at the time of use
- Must have earned a minimum GPA of 3.0 at the time of selection
- Must be in good academic standing according to the standards of the university, with good moral character
- Preference will be given to a student who has an immediate family member who has passed away while actively serving in the line of the duty as a first responder
- Students who receive the scholarship during their junior year are permitted to reapply during their senior year
Applications are due Friday, April 9, 2021.
