All services from the counseling center are free and confidential to IUP students. All students seeking services can email counseling-center@iup.edu, call 724-357-2621, or walk in during office hours to schedule an appointment.
Welcome back, students! The IUP Counseling Center will be offering both in-person and telehealth appointments for the fall semester. Counseling services are included in the Wellness Fee you have already paid the university. You will not be charged for your session.
If interested in services, students can contact the IUP Counseling Center by phone (724-357-2621) or email counseling-center@iup.edu. Simply write in your email, “Hi, I’m interested in scheduling an appointment.” You will receive a response from the department secretary with scheduling options.
During your initial appointment, students will discuss their concerns and options for counseling moving forward. Options may include short-term counseling with a Counseling Center counselor, group counseling, or obtaining off-campus referrals for longer-term or specialized counseling via our Clinical Case Manager.
The IUP Counseling Center is closed during regular university breaks. In case of an emergency, please contact the Indiana County Crisis Hotline at 1-877-333-2470, University Police at 724-357-2141, or go to the Indiana Regional Medical Center.
