I am very pleased to tell you that IUP’s College of Osteopathic Medicine (IUP COM) has pre-accreditation status from the American Osteopathic Association’s Commission on Osteopathic College Accreditation (COCA).
This means that we can begin recruiting and admitting students into IUP’s Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree program. It also means that we can drop the “proposed” from the name of our College.

We look forward to welcoming our first class of students for this degree in fall 2027.
While a great deal of hard work is in front of us, we are on our way to meeting our commitment to helping to address the health care crisis in our commonwealth through IUP COM.
