Scope
The journal accepts original submissions across all academic disciplines, including but not limited to the humanities, social sciences, natural sciences, applied sciences, business, education, fine arts, and interdisciplinary studies. This includes the methods and approaches: qualitative, quantitative, ethnographic, field, applied, textual, policy analysis, technical reports, mixed methods approaches, and much more. If you aren’t sure if your work qualifies, please write to the editors.
Timeline
Each year, Inquiry and Innovation will be published on the following timeline:
- Call for Submissions - Spring Term
- Submissions due - October 30
- Manuscripts returned to authors by end of the Fall Term
- Revised manuscripts from students due January 30
- Publication of Issue - Spring Term
About the peer review process: After your manuscript is submitted, it will go through the peer review process. This process is similar to what other professional journals do, where faculty and students will review your manuscript (without knowing who wrote it) and offer their feedback. You will have a chance to respond and revise. From there, your article will be reviewed by the editors and then moved into copyediting and layout for publication in the journal.
What if I don’t make the deadline? Inquiry and Innovation is published annually in the spring term. If you are unable to submit or revise in time, we can still accept your submission for the next year’s issue.
