Provost Search

All members of the IUP community—faculty, administration, students, staff, and members of the Indiana community—are encouraged to participate in the search process for selecting the next provost and vice president for Academic Affairs at IUP.

During these meetings, Fitch will ask for input on the qualities and credentials that you believe are important for the position of provost and vice president for Academic Affairs at IUP. Fitch will then take the input he receives from the various constituencies and draft a leadership profile, which will be used to recruit candidates and guide the committee. Once the committee has selected candidates for campus interviews, everyone will be invited to attend the interviews and offer input on the candidates. The timeline for this process and our eventual success depend on achieving a strong pool of applicants.

Candidates are often recruited by individuals who currently work for the institution. If you know of anyone who is qualified and might be interested in the position, please forward the person's name and contact information to Ben Rafoth at brafoth@iup.edu or to Thomas Fitch at rtf@academic-search.com.
