I am saddened to inform you of the passing of two students.
We have just received official notification of the death of Matthew P. Laird, a junior Communications Media major from Pittsburgh. Matthew died on July 4, 2009.
We also have learned of the death of Cory Michael Denlinger, of Conestoga, who passed away after an automobile accident July 10, 2009. Cory was a sophomore Communications Media major.
Obviously the death of any member of the IUP community is tragic and difficult to bear for members of the IUP community. I am sure you join me in expressing concern and sympathy for Matthew and Cory's friends and families and the Communications Media Department.
