I would ask that all members of the IUP community join me in offering our condolences to the family, friends, and colleagues of Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Lt. Gov. Catherine Baker Knoll.
Mrs. Knoll, the state's first female lieutenant governor, passed away November 12. In observance of Mrs. Knoll's position and service to the commonwealth, Pennsylvania Gov. Edward G. Rendell has ordered all U.S. and Pennsylvania flags at commonwealth facilities throughout the state to be flown at half-staff and remain at half-staff until Mrs. Knoll's interment next week.
