Online 2018 W2 Form Now Available

For all employees who elected toreceive their 2018 W2 form online in ESS, the form is now available. Paper W2s will go out within thenext two weeks.

Electronic W-2 Election for 2018

The AFSCME and PSSU bargaining units have the day afterThanksgiving, November 23, 2018, as a scheduled day off. All other employees who are not planning to workNovember 23 must enter leave through ESS. This includes OPEIU, SCUPA, SPFPA, coaches, managers, and 12-monthfaculty.

Fiscal Year End: Leave Usage Reminder

To prepare for fiscal yearend, employees planning on using leave through June 30, 2018, must enter theirrequest and have a supervisor approve it by June 22. This includes annual, personal, sick, andcompensatory leave.

Student employees who are continuing employment through the summer must complete a new Profile/Job Assignment Sheet and hand deliver it to Payroll Services, G-11, Sutton Hall. We encourage students to submit profile sheets as soon as possible to prevent payroll issues.

New Tax Tables/Rates

The new tax tables/rates that went into effect on January 11, 2018, will be reflected on paydate February 16, 2018, with a retro adjustment of taxes if applicable. On paydate March 2, 2018, you will see your new net pay.

Nonresident Alien Employment Guidelines

Effective January 1, 2008, IUP no longer honors Tax Treaties when placing nonresident aliens (NRA) on the payroll system. The guidelines to determine the tax status of nonresident aliens and reporting of income for nonresident aliens are set forth by the IRS and Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education.
