September 11 Memorial Program

September 11 Memorial, Oak Grove

Please join President Michael A. Driscoll on Monday, September 11, 2017, as the IUP community gathers to reflect on the 2001 attacks on the United States.

The program will be held at 8:30 a.m. in front of the September 11 memorial in the Oak Grove.

In the event of inclement weather, the program will be held in Gorell Recital Hall in John Sutton Hall.

This exhibit runs from September 11 through October 13.

RAINN (Rape, Abuse, Incest National Network) Day is an annual national day dedicated to education and outreach around domestic and sexual violence. The Haven Project will be hosting a table with information and resources. Stop by for giveaways and to sign an umbrella to show your support for RAINN Day!

Journey to LEAN

Journey to LEAN: Lifelong Exercise and Nutrition, is open to all IUP employees.

In partnership with IRMC , LEAN will begin on Tuesday, September 5, 2017, and will be held one time per week from  12:00 to 1:00 p.m in the Conemaugh Room at the HUB .  

Join IRMC for this 12-week, weight management course that includes:

  • Pre- and post-biometric screenings (weight, waist measurement, body fat, blood pressure, and BMI)
  • Sixty-minute sessions that include nutrition, behavior change, and take-home workouts 
  • Personalized eating plan
  • Grocery store tour
  • Led by professional experts
