Haven Project Events
The Haven Project and the Fashion Merchandising Program are partnering together to set up the What Were You Wearing Exhibit. Anonymous survivor stories from
the IUP community will be on display all week in the Stapleton Library.
“What were you wearing?” is an all-too-common question asked of survivors of sexual assault. This question is rooted in victim-blaming. This exhibit aims to dispel the myth that survivors provoke their assault due to how they were dressed. Stop
by to experience this powerful and emotional display.
Content Warning: Stories include descriptions of gender-based personal violence, which may be upsetting to some.
Questions? Email firstname.lastname@example.org
If you or someone you know has been a victim of sexual assault, there are resources available to offer support. You are not alone.
Leadership is integral to professional success no matter the position we hold within an organization. Regardless of what you believe about how leaders evolve—they are born, or they learn to be leaders, or some combination of these—we all have the capacity to lead.
Part of being a leader, however, is being seen and being respected as a leader. How do we make this happen, especially if it doesn't come to us naturally? We establish leadership presence using tips, tricks, and tools based on best practices and research.
This presentation by Tammy Manko, director of the IUP Career and Professional Development Center, will provide you with tactics for standing out as a respected leader in your organization and in life.
