University Senate Meeting

University Senate

  • The University Senate serves as the academic governing body for IUP.
  • The senate provides the forum where issues related to the welfare of the university as a whole are discussed and debated with all stakeholders participating.
  • Senators are primarily elected and come from all areas of the campus community—faculty, administrators, students, staff, and alumni.
  • Meetings of the whole senate take place each month, September through April.
  • Committees meet as often as weekly to handle much of the work of the senate.

Take Back the Night: A Sign Making Workshop

Haven Project Events

Come join us for our first of two sign making workshops. Stop by and create a sign in support of victims and survivors of sexual violence to be used at the Take Back the Night march. 

All materials will be provided. 

Dr. Erick Lauber and a certified recovery specialist, Armstrong, Indiana, Clarion Drug and Alcohol Commission, will explore the importance of reducing the stigma of addiction and highlight all the resources that exist to help individuals who are suffering with addiction.

This discussion will also cover available resources for those dealing with a loved one or friend experiencing addiction issues

The IUP Faculty Woodwind Quintet will perform a variety of standard and contemporary works, featuring the Pennsylvania premiere of Jack Stamp's Quintet for Winds.

Are you concerned about a friend or loved one who uses alcohol or drugs?  Marianne Cubeta and Becky Perkovich, Certified Family Recovery Specialists, will provide recovery coaching and peer support for anyone touched by addiction.
