Greg Lukianoff, president of the Foundation for Individual Rights on Education (FIRE), will discuss his book, "The Coddling of the American Mind: How Good Intentions and bad Intentions Are Setting Up a Generation for Failure." Join us for this program as part of the Year of Free Speech and its role on a college campus.

Cosponsored by the Six O'Clock Series.

Due to speaker illness, the February 18 program with attorney and author Greg Lukianoff, “Freedom from Speech and Disempowering a Generation,” has been postponed.

Jim and Evelyn Piazza, parents of Timothy Piazza, are set to speak to the campus community about the death of their son and their hope for change on college campuses. Timothy Piazza was a sophomore at Penn State in 2017 when he died after a night of pledging a fraternity. This event is sponsored by the Interfraternity Council, Panhellenic Association and the Office of Fraternity and Sorority Life. Join us Monday night!

Hard Hatted Women and Women In Action

Concurrent exhibitions,Hard Hatted Women is a multimedia exhibit featuring women who were trailblazers in the labor unions of the Pittsburgh region during the 1970s and 1980s, while Women in Action features artworks from the University Museum Permanent Collection.

This exhibit runs from February 9 through March 9.

University Museum Hours: 2:00–6:00 p.m. Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday; noon-7:30 p.m. Thursday; noon–4:00 p.m. Saturday. Closed Sunday and Monday.
