National Day on Writing: Writing Tips Tree

Eicher Hall Second Floor

Writing Center

The Writing Tips Tree will be live starting on October 14 and will be located on the second floor of Eicher Hall in front of the Jones White Writing Center. Our Writing Tips Tree offers the campus community a chance to share your best “writing tip” with the IUP community and larger National Day on Writing Community. Faculty, staff, and students are all welcome to come, submit a tip, take a selfie with the tree, and tag themselves on social media with #WhyIwrite and #IUPWriting. Submissions will be entered into raffles for prizes at our celebration on October 21.

Pushing Petals

Kipp Gallary, First Floor Spowls Hall

The Lively Arts

In the exhibit "Pushing Petals" the work of Jillian Dickson and Elaine Quave examines human cycles of birth and death and the connection between the human body and wild nature. These artists fuse nature and the human body together to function and be understood as a singular unit and to help us recognize that we are dependent on the ecosystems around us for our sustenance and survival.

Did you miss us yesterday in the Humanities Lobby? Get answers to your questions about your bill or financial aid without having to walk to Clark Hall. Between 11am and 1pm, student workers from the Financial Aid and Bursar’s offices will staff a table in North Dining.
