The Delta Phi chapter of Alpha Phi International Fraternity was active on the IUP campus from 1965 to 1983. Although it is gone from the list of current student organizations, alumnae members of Alpha Phi have sought to make sure the name is still remembered. In September, they came to campus to see the plaques they had contributed for two seats (at $500 each) in the new IUP Performing Arts Center. (They hope that other alumni groups will emulate their example.) Alpha Phi’s 2008 reunion was the second the alumnae had held; they’re looking forward to another in 2010. Linda Morford Neugebauer ’67 sent reunion photos, which appear here.
The group picture shows the alumnae on the steps of Waller Hall, part of the IUP Performing Arts Center. Front row, left to right: Darlene Warren Martin ’76, Annette Kavinski Dubs ’76 (black-and-white top), Sandra Colt ’76 (green sweater), Kathy Swart Peffer ’73, and Eileen Zug Bugosh, ’68, M’69.
Second row, left to right: Beverly Lupnacca Kerkam ’72, Carolyn Eaton Cranston ’72 (brown jacket), Iris Shellhammer Meyer ’73 (blonde in black); Linda Morford Neugebauer ’67 (green and aqua), and Connie Evans Sutton ’67, M’68.
Third row, left to right: Judy Anthony Goodman ’73 (in white), Connie Parkes Johnson ’66 (blonde in tan and white), Kathy Dieter Waddell ’65, and Donna Engle Brubaker ’66.
Fourth row, left to right: Beverly Davis Rogers ’77, Vicky Baran Daskivich ’72, Judi Clossin McLaughlin ’72, and Barbara Hermansen Basbagill ’67 (white shirt and glasses).
The other photos show the plaques that were affixed to the seats in Fisher in honor of Alpha Phi and a group of alumnae finding “their” seats.
