Ron Yamka ’71 sends news of Class of '71 Homecoming reunion

Ron Yamka ’71 sent in this news of a recent reunion:

“IUP’s Homecoming 2006 was the day some old friends and alumni reunited for the first time since graduation in May of 1971. A unanimous feeling of warmth and friendship prevailed during the entire day. It was as if only a long summer vacation had passed instead of thirty-five years! In spite of the brisk and chilling weather for the weekend, we cheered IUP’s football game victory over Clarion and enjoyed the outstanding performance of the IUP Marching Band. Excellent meals were taken at Benjamin’s Restaurant for lunch and Cucina Mia Restaurant for dinner. The day ended much too soon for everyone. With heartfelt promises, the group pledged to do it all again at the next Homecoming at IUP!”
