James Rickard ’06 Contributes to Festival of the Future

Galvin Playhouse

In March, James Rickard ’06 was one of two guest artists at the 2018 Emerge festival of the future at Arizona State University’s Galvin Playhouse. A combined art, theater, and museum experience, this year’s festival was titled Luna City 2175, which represented a futuristic city on the moon. James created an interactive art installation called Satellite Lounge, and guests were invited to use “space junk”—actually galvanized pipe, vents, a deconstructed printer, and other materials—to add to the lounge’s décor.
