Phillip Woods ’00, D’17 Keynotes IUP Crimson Salute

In May, West Mifflin Area High School Principal Phillip Woods ’00, D’17 served as keynote speaker for IUP’s Crimson Salute, a pre-commencement ceremony that recognizes accomplishments of IUP’s diverse student population.

Under his leadership, West Mifflin was recognized as a School of Excellence for its efforts to celebrate diverse learners. Phillip also consulted as equity coordinator for the Gateway School District. In July, he was hired as principal of Woodland Hills Junior/Senior High School.

An Aliquippa native, he has two children, Dmitri and Makyah.
