Michele Papakie ’93 Receives IUP Visit in ‘Other Job’

Michele Papakie On-the-Job Visit

In May 2017, Michele Papakie ’93, IUP journalism faculty member and a lieutenant colonel in the Pennsylvania Air National Guard, invited IUP administrators to see what she does with the Guard’s 171st Air Refueling Wing in Findlay Township. Her guests saw a ribbon-cutting for the new flight simulator; toured a KC-135 Stratotanker, a refueling aircraft; and checked out the boom simulator, used to train operators in controlling air-refueling equipment. Three alumni were part of the boom-simulator demonstration.
