Concerned about the health of their brother John Posa ’89, Ann Posa ’83 and her other siblings have been spreading the word about his grave condition with the hope of raising funds to cover his medical care.
In fall 2016, doctors diagnosed John with pulmonary fibrosis, a disease marked by scarring in the lungs, and said he would need a double lung transplant to survive, Ann said. In January, the Posa siblings started a crowdfunding campaign on the YouCaring website to help offset the out-of-pocket expenses associated with transplant procedures.

Donations may also be made by check. Checks should be made payable to the John Posa Medical Fund and can be deposited at any S&T Bank or can be mailed to John Posa, c/o Ann Posa, 198 Jacksonville Road, Homer City, PA 15748.
