New Book Explores Work of Alberto Rey ’82

Life Streams

The book Life Streams, released by SUNY Press, explores the paintings and other works of Cuban-born Alberto Rey ’82 through the writings of eight art historians and curators. His art addresses issues of identity, cultural diversity, and environmental studies and, more recently, has focused on his community involvement in Fredonia, New York, and the local landscape, particularly trout streams. A SUNY Distinguished Professor, Rey is a 2008 recipient of the IUP Distinguished Alumni Award.
