Joe Kloba ’67, M’69 Retires from Palm Beach Atlantic University

Joe Kloba ’67, M’69 retired in May as provost and chief academic officer of Palm Beach Atlantic University. He spent 11 years as provost, 5 as associate provost, and 3 as founder and professor of the graduate counseling psychology program. Joe also served as a professor, department head, and dean at Radford, Regent, and Liberty universities; as vice president of a psychiatric health care organization; as a professional association executive; and as a teacher, counselor, and coach in the Burrell, Franklin Regional, and Fox Chapel school districts and in suburban Rochester, New York. Joe was named Professor of the Year at Radford University in 1980.

Married 47 years, he and his wife, Sandy Moore Kloba ’67, live in West Palm Beach. In his home study, Joe has a print of the John Sutton Hall stairs, the spot where he and Sandy met on Labor Day, 1963, the first day of freshman registration.
