The IUP Symphony Orchestra performs music inspired by the natural world, including Aaron Copland’s “Outdoor Overture,” Virgil Thomson’s film score to The Plow That Broke the Plains, and the East Coast premier of Roger Zare’s “Thaw,” depicting the magical transition from winter to spring.

The concert will feature IUP professor of flute Therese Wacker performing Gluck’s “Dance of the Blessed Spirits” and Kennan’s “Night Soliloquy.”
