State Employee Assistance Program (SEAP)
SEAP is designed to assist all employees of the Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education and their family members in receiving no-cost, confidential personal support for a wide variety of issues, including drug and alcohol addiction issues. Employees who have a substance abuse problem are strongly encouraged to use SEAP as a resource for addiction assessment and treatment referral services.

AA is a worldwide fellowship of sober alcoholics whose recovery is based on 12 steps. AA's sole purpose is to carry the AA message to the alcoholic who still suffers. There are no dues or fees, and the only requirement for membership is the desire to stop drinking.

National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism (NIAAA)
NIAAA provides leadership in the national effort to reduce alcohol-related problems. They offer many free, easy-to-read publications covering a wide range of alcohol-related topics.
National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA)
NIDA's mission is to lead the nation in bringing the power of science to bear on drug abuse and addiction. This charge has two critical components. The first is the strategic support and conduct of research across a broad range of disciplines. The second is ensuring the rapid and effective dissemination and use of the results of that research to significantly improve prevention, treatment, and policy as it relates to drug abuse and addiction.

National Council on Alcoholism and Drug Dependence (NCADD)
NCADD's mission is to increase public awareness and understanding of the disease of alcoholism and drug dependence. NCADD and its national network of state and local affiliates provide education, prevention, information/referral, intervention, treatment, and recovery support services.
Pennsylvania Department of Drug and Alcohol Programs (DDAP)
DDAP is charged with developing and implementing a comprehensive health, education, and rehabilitation program for the prevention, treatment, and case management of substance abuse, substance dependence, and gambling addictions.
