Indiana University of Pennsylvania is a public research-intensive institution located 55 miles northeast of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. It is one of the two largest universities of the 14 schools comprising the Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education.

As of fall 2016, the university enrolled 10,618 undergraduates and 2,235 postgraduates for a total enrollment of 12,853 students. IUP has regional campuses at Punxsutawney, Northpointe (Armstrong), and Pittsburgh East (near Monroeville). Notice of Availability Annual Security and Fire Safety Report: IUP is committed to assisting all members of the community in providing their own safety and security. The Annual Security and Fire Safety Report contains three years of campus crime and fire statistics, certain campus security and fire policy statements, as well as statistics for public areas immediately adjacent to campus as required by the Jeanne Clery Act. Hard copies of the Annual Security and Fire Safety Report for all of the IUP campuses are available at the University Police office located at 850 Maple St., Indiana, PA 15705 during regular business hours. An online copy is available on IUP's Police website.
