Bringing decades of marketing and communications expertise, Sandy has been a member of the Foundation for IUP board since July 2010 and serves on the Governance and Strategic Planning committees. She is a member of the College of Humanities and Social
Sciences Dean’s Advancement Council and is a past president of the IUP Alumni Association Board of Directors, where she’s served since 2006. In 2014, she was honored with the IUP Distinguished Alumni Award for Service. Sandy holds a bachelor of arts
degree in journalism from IUP.
Dave joined the board in 2017 and currently serves on the Audit and Finance committees. He previously served as an advisor to the Audit Committee. Dave is a partner with BKD LLP CPAs and Advisors. He is a past recipient of the Eberly College of Business
Outstanding Entrepreneur award, and is a member of the Business School’s Hall of Distinction and its Advisory Council. Dave currently serves as chairman of the YMCA of Greater Pittsburgh Board of Directors and is a past board advisor for the Baierl
Family YMCA and Camps Kon-O-Kwee/Spencer.
Tim joined the board in 2015 and serves on the Finance and Strategic Planning committees. Tim earned a bachelor of science degree in computer science from IUP. He went on to found a pharmacy software company that ultimately employed more than 400 people
when it was sold to a public company. He is now the president of ElecTekUSA, a political campaign software company. As a board member of the IUP Alumni Association since 2012, Tim has been active in college activities both locally in Indiana and the
Pittsburgh area. Tim also is on the board of directors of CASANA, a national organization dedicated to helping children with a rare neurological disorder called Apraxia. In 2010, Tim received the Jefferson Award for community service for his work
with special-needs children.
Rich has been a member of the board since July 2007 and serves as its president from 2015 through June 2019. He currently serves on the Strategic Planning Committee. Previously, Rich chaired the Audit, Investment, and Nominating committees. Rich is an
independent financial consultant, and he brings a wide range of financial expertise to the Foundation board.
Terry has been a member of the board since July 2010 and is in his second term on the board. Terry currently serves as the president of the Foundation and most recently served as vice president as well as chairman of the Governance Committee and a member
of the Executive and Strategic Planning committees. He is a principal of Sweetwater LLC and serves on the board of directors for Matthews International, TimkenSteel, as well as AMPCO-Pittsburgh. He retired from Allegheny Technologies in 2015 after
a 31-year career, most recently serving as executive vice president of ATI Flat-Rolled Products Group and 12 years as the president of ATI Allegheny Ludlum. He holds a bachelor of science degree from the Eberly College of Business as well as an honorary
doctorate of public service at IUP and attended Loyola University–Chicago in the MBA program.
Jersey City, NJ
Jim joined the board in July 2018 where he serves on the Executive, Investment, and Strategic Planning committees. He is currently the managing director of US operations for KRyS Global, an international fraud investigation, asset recovery, and insolvency
firm. Jim is also founder and president of Mount Vernon Capital Advisors LLC, a financial restructuring consultancy. Previously, Jim held senior positions at Merrill Lynch and the US investment management arm of the Prudential plc. He earned his bachelor
of science degree in finance and accounting (double major) from IUP’s Eberly College of Business and Information Technology, and his MBA with a concentration in analytic finance from the University of Chicago. Jim was inducted into the Eberly College
of Business and Information Technology Hall of Distinction in 2013, was a 1998 recipient of the IUP Young Alumni Ambassador Award (now called the Young Alumni Achievement Award), and served as student trustee on the IUP Council of Trustees from 1993
David has been a member of the board since July 2018 and serves on the Finance and Strategic Planning committees. He is an experienced entrepreneur, investor, and senior executive with a demonstrated history of creating valuable companies, rapidly promoted
in higher education for strong classroom performance and creating broad and deep experiential learning programs to benefit students, faculty, and alumni. He is a strong business development professional with an MBA with distinction focused on entrepreneurship
from Carnegie Mellon University–Tepper School of Business. He is a summa cum laude graduate from IUP with a major in physics and minors in applied mathematics and computer science.
Brad has been a member of the board since July 2018 and serves on the Governance and Investment committees. Brad is a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh with a bachelor of arts degree in business economics with a concentration in finance. He is
the managing director of InFirst Financial Advisors, LLC, senior vice president of InFirst Bank, an investment executive with Infinex Investments, Inc., a chartered retirement planning counselor, and an accredited investment fiduciary providing wealth
management services to individuals and businesses. Brad is an active member in the community, having volunteered his time to serve as a board treasurer for the United Way of Indiana County, former board member and annual fund chair for the YMCA of
Indiana County, current president of the Indiana County Advisory Board for Junior Achievement of Western Pennsylvania, and a regional board member of the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors.
Frank has been a member of the board since July 2008 and serves on the Investment and Finance committees. Frank holds a bachelor of business administration degree from St. Bonaventure University in Allegany, New York Before his retirement, he was president
of Punxsutawney’s Frank Roberts and Sons, Inc., a manufacturer and distributor serving the natural gas exploration industry and heavy highway contractors in the United States and Canada. He is a director for the Punxsutawney Area Hospital, a member
of the Punxsutawney Area College Trust committee, and serves as president of the Punxsutawney Regional Development Corporation.
Dan joined the board in 2015. He serves as secretary/treasurer of the Foundation as well as chair of the Finance Committee and a member of the Executive Committee. Dan holds a bachelor of science degree from IUP’s Eberly College of Business and Information
Technology and an MBA from the University of Pittsburgh, Katz Graduate School of Business. He is currently managing director of Confluence Advisors, an investment banking firm, and has more than 25 years of diverse experience in corporate finance,
mergers and acquisitions, and accounting. Dan is a certified public accountant in Pennsylvania (inactive) and is a past board member and treasurer of the Association for Corporate Growth, Pittsburgh Chapter.
Bill rejoined the board in July 2010, having served previously as the representative of the IUP Alumni Association from 2005 to 2008. Currently, Bill serves as vice president of the Board and chairs the Investment and Governance committees and is a member
of the Executive Committee. He holds a bachelor of science degree in management from IUP’s Eberly College of Business and Information Technology. Bill retired in 2004 as a partner from the international accounting firm of PricewaterhouseCoopers, LLP,
and then served for six years as the executive director of Thorp Reed & Armstrong, LLP (now Clark Hill, PLC), and a regional law firm based in Pittsburgh. He recently retired from McKinley Carter Wealth Services, a registered investment advisory firm.
He received the IUP Distinguished Alumni Award in 1990, the Outstanding Business Alumni Award from the Eberly College of Business and Information Technology in 2001, and Eberly’s Lifetime Achievement Award in 2002. He was also inducted into the Eberly
College of Business and Information Technology Hall of Distinction. He currently serves as a member of Eberly’s Business Advisory Council. Bill is a past president of the IUP Alumni Association.
Upper St. Clair
Greg joined the board in July 2015. He has served as an advisor on the Audit Committee since July 2012. Currently, he serves on the Audit and Investment committees. Greg holds a bachelor of science degree from IUP’s Eberly College of Business and Information
Technology and an MBA from the University of Pittsburgh’s Katz Graduate School of Business. Greg also serves on the board of directors of Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Pittsburgh and is a member of Eberly College’s Business Advisory Council.
He served on the IUP Alumni Association board of directors from 2002 to 2008. He is the senior vice president and Corporate Banking Business Development officer at First Commonwealth Bank in Pittsburgh.
Regina returned in July 2014 to the board after first serving two terms in the early 2000s. She is currently chair of the Strategic Planning Committee and a member of the Executive, Audit, and Finance committees and previously served as chair of the Investment
Committee. Regina holds a bachelor of science degree from IUP’s Eberly College of Business and Information Technology and an MBA from the University of Pittsburgh. In 1999, Regina was honored as an IUP Distinguished Alumna. She is a retired managing
director at BNY Mellon with expertise in portfolio risk management, fiduciary compliance, and auditing.
Rick joined the board in July 2012. He currently serves on the Executive and Investment committees and is chair of the Audit Committee. Rick holds a bachelor of science degree from IUP’s Eberly College of Business and Information Technology. He is currently
co-owner and chief financial officer of Acuity Finishing, located in Cranberry Township, as well as a financial advisor to small businesses in the Pittsburgh community. He also serves as a member of Eberly College’s Business Advisory Council and previously
served on the board of directors of Wesley Family Services.
