The 2024–25 FAFSA will be delayed until December 2023 due to changes the US Department of Education is implementing to make the application more streamlined for students and families.

We encourage current and prospective students to submit the FAFSA as soon as possible once it becomes available, but no later than May 1, 2024, to be considered for maximum financial aid eligibility, including the PA State Grant.

Students and parents can create their FSA ID (if they don’t already have one) now at the Federal Student Aid website in preparation for filing in December.  To get an estimate of how much federal student aid a student may be eligible for in the 2024–25 award year, the Federal Student Aid Estimator is available online. The Federal Student Aid Estimator will also provide an estimate of the Student Aid Index (SAI), which is replacing the Expected Family Contribution (EFC) calculation in 2024–25.
