Join us for a special screening of the award-winning ethnographic film A Thousand Pines followed by a Q&A with acclaimed filmmaker and anthropologist Noam Osband.
About A Thousand Pines: The United States is the world's largest producer of wood and paper products, and each year the industry relies almost entirely on foreign guest workers who plant over one billion trees to replenish harvested forests. This intimate documentary explores the hidden world of guest workers regrowing America's forests and the challenges the workers and their families face.
Pizza and attendance vouchers will be provided. All are welcome!
