The procurement team will come to our campus to review various procurement processes and SourcePoint topics.

Whether new to SourcePoint and the procurement processes, or if you just need a refresher, we welcome and encourage all university staff and faculty to participate in the procurement training sessions. Attendees will be able to walk away with a stronger knowledge of SourcePoint and procurement.

Understanding the Focus Groups Identified Below

  • Requester – Employee who will be entering the purchase requisition (PR), following up on the flow of the PR through the approval process, confirming receipt of standard materials (desktop receiving or via central receiving) and approving service. This employee will also work with procurement and Accounts Payable (AP) as needed to successfully complete the procurement process.
  • Approvers (Conditional and Financial) –University designated approvers to include conditional approvers and all financial Conditional Approvers include Fixed Asset, IT, and Grant approvers.
  • Stakeholder – This would be the person responsible for the procured item or service and has knowledge of the procurement in addition to the requester to include, but not limited to, VPs, executive directors, directors, deans, a-deans, chairs, faculty, foreman, etc.
  • Accounts Payable – Members of AP are encouraged to attend to gain an understanding of procurement processes and SourcePoint.
