Denim Day originated from a 1990’s Italian Supreme Court case in which a rape conviction was overturned because the judges argued that the victim’s tight jeans implied consent. Outraged by this ruling, women in the Italian Parliament wore jeans in solidarity with the survivor, sparking a global movement against harmful myths surrounding sexual assault.

In support of those who did not get the justice they fought for in the court system, We Wear Denim.
