The IUP Symphony Orchestra commemorates 75 years since the end of World War II with a concert of music connected to the war, from the 1940s sounds of Aaron Copland and Richard Rodgers to more recent reflections by Morton Gould, John Williams, and Robert Sedky, who sends us soaring through the skies with the heroic Spitfire pilots. Anchoring the concert is an American masterpiece: Gershwin's unforgettable "Rhapsody in Blue" performed by IUP professor of piano, henry Wong Doe. This event is free and open to the public!
