Map - NicaraguaProfessor Marjorie Zambrano-Paff aims to recount the historical and socio-political events that have shaped Nicaragua’s history from Somoza’s dictatorship until today. An eyewitness account of war, of revolution and of survival will be part of the presentation.

Zambrano-Paff is a native of Managua, Nicaragua, who had to leave her country due to political unrest. In 1985 she and her brother found themselves fleeing the Sandinista’s government to a new country, without family or friends. At the tender age of 16, Zambrano-Paff began her new life in Costa Rica and eventually came to the United States.
