Who We Are
The Cyber Security Club is a student-run club with the goal of providing outside-of-class activities relevant to the industry. Attendees will leave with valuable experience proven to be useful during interviews and jobs. The club is open to everybody at IUP, no matter what level of experience or major you have. Our goal is to expand our knowledge of cybersecurity and information security through hands-on experience and direct interaction with professionals in the field.
Our club is constantly participating in competitions, such as PC4A, NCAE, and the PACISE Security Contest. Last year we won third place in the NCAE Cyber games, which is a beginner level infrastructure security challenge, featuring CTF challenges. We are planning to participate again in early 2027. We also placed first in the PC4A Capture the Flag security competition and are set to participate again on November 13, 2026. We won second place at the PACISE Security Contest in April and are planning on participating again in 2027. These competitions are beginner friendly, and we work hard to provide relevant information and practice in the club. How to Join the Club
Our meetings are open to everyone every week on Wednesday from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. in Stright Hall, room 107A. You can also email one of the officers, which you can find below, for more information such as the link to our discord, where we post resources, meeting plans, and answer questions on specific problems. There is no attendance requirement or monetary fee to participate in the club. We encourage all members to come as often as their schedules allow. We hope to see you at our next meeting!
