Fostering Success: Student Stories of Perseverance and Resilience

Posted on 4/12/21 3:19 PM

We get it! College is a new experience for all, but may be more challenging for some. IUP is here to help provide you with guidance you may need along with way.

  • Have you ever been affiliated with foster care?
  • Are you an independent student without parental or other support?
  • Do you want to help create an inclusive campus for students like you who are foster care affiliated and have lived independently without parental support?

Join representatives from the Connections Team to learn about the experiences foster care students have at IUP by listening to their stories of perseverance and resilience. Learn about ways IUP can help with the transition—mental health support, financial aid, community engagement, case management, mentoring, housing options, and tutoring programs, just to name a few.

Thursday, April 15

5:00-6:00 p.m.

HUB (Ohio Room)
