Mini Golf

HUB Ohio Room

To kick off the 2017-2018 school year, STATIC is bringing putt-putt to you! Join us for Mini Golf on Thursday, September 14, from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the HUB Atrium and Ohio Room. Individuals or teams of up to 6 people can compete for awesome prizes. If you don't register in advance, don't worry! Come to the event and register on site. Students interested in playing mini golf can preregister here, or in person at the event. Admission is free, and is open to the entire IUP campus community. Battle of the Bands 2017

HUB Ohio Room

Are you IUP's best music act? Prove it at STATIC's Battle of the Bands! The event takes place on Thursday, September 21, in the HUB Ohio Room, starting at 7:00 p.m. The event is free for groups to register and perform, as well as for individuals to attend. All bands (including all genres, groups, solo acts, acoustic acts, singer-songwriters, and other performers) are eligible to participate, so long as at least one member of the group is an active IUP student. Winners will be eligible to receive bragging rights and a sweet trophy, as well as cash prizes! $200 will be awarded to first place, $150 will be awarded to second place, and $100 will be awarded to third place. Judging will consist of both official event judges, as well as audience participation and voting. Encourage your friends, roommates, and groupies to attend! Event registration is now closed. Mental Health Fair

HUB Atrium

Join STATIC, as well as a number of campus and community mental health agencies, to discuss a variety of topics relating to suicide awareness and mental health and wellness for yourself and your friends.

ALIVE! resources will be on site with a number of different activities and resources, and will give away various prizes and gifts to guests.

More than 1,000 US college students will commit suicide during this school year.

September is Suicide Prevention Awareness month. Join STATIC as we present “Pain, Hope, Questions, and Community: An Evening with Jamie Tworkowski, Creator of ‘To Write Love on Her Arms.’”

This is a free event. No tickets are required for entry, just show up! Seating is limited to the first 400 people, though, so come early to get your seat before the rush! Our mental health fair will begin at 4:00 p.m. in the HUB Atrium. Doors for the main event will open at 7:00 p.m., and the show will begin at 8:00 p.m.

Homecoming Showdown 2017

Get amped up for IUP’s Homecoming Weekend at Homecoming Showdown! You and three of your friends will compete with others to be crowned Homecoming Champion and win some awesome prizes! Events include T-shirt decorating, cornhole, ladder golf, tug-of-war, free throw, dodgeball, walleyball, and an obstacle course. Do you have what it takes to be crowned a champion? Homecoming Showdown will take place on Tuesday, October 3, from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the HUB Gymnasium. Free food and t-shirts will be available for all participants. Prizes include the very coveted Intramural Champion T-shirts, $50 Co-op Store and Amazon gift cards, and tickets to our upcoming events (Lil Uzi Vert, Drew Lynch, and Mayday Parade). Register (for free) by Monday, October 2, at 4:30 p.m. or at the event. Homecoming Showdown is brought to the IUP campus community by STATIC, Campus Recreation, and the Student Co-op.

Lil Uzi Vert: Live at IUP Homecoming 2017

STATIC presents Lil Uzi Vert, live in concert, to kick-off IUP's Homecoming celebrations on Thursday, October 5, in the Kovalchick Complex. Doors will open at 7:00 p.m., and the show will begin at 8:00 p.m. The concert will also feature special guest, BIA! Both I-Card and public tickets are still available. I-Card tickets can be purchased in person at the KCAC Box Office. Tickets for the general public can be purchased in person at the KCAC Box Office or online. Tickets are $20 with an I-Card, plus a $2 facility fee, or $40 for the general public, plus all applicable fees. According to the artist’s biography, “Symere Woods, better known by his stage name Lil Uzi Vert, is an American hip hop recording artist. Based in Philadelphia, he gained recognition after releasing his debut single, "Money Longer," and several mixtapes, including Luv Is Rage, Lil Uzi Vert vs. the World, and The Perfect Luv Tape. Lil Uzi Vert has also collaborated with Migos on "Bad and Boujee," which became Lil Uzi Vert's first US Billboard Hot 100 number-one single. In August 2017, Lil Uzi Vert released his debut studio album, Luv Is Rage 2, where it reached number one on the Billboard 200 Albums Chart.
