#ProtectYourBrain

Live on the big screen in the HUB Ohio Room, join STATIC and Life Without Drugs at IUP/MARTI as we present a Netflix & Chill Movie Night of Booksmart (2019) on Thursday, March 26, at 7:00 p.m. We'll supply the movie, popcorn, candy, drinks, and tips on how best to #ProtectYourBrain. You just bring your PJs, blankets, and some pillows.

In Booksmart, “Academic overachievers Amy and Molly thought keeping their noses to the grindstone gave them a leg up on their high school peers. But on the eve of graduation, the best friends suddenly realize that they may have missed out on the special moments of their teenage years. Determined to make up for lost time, the girls decide to cram four years of not-to-be missed fun into one night—a chaotic adventure that no amount of book smarts could prepare them for.”

This event is cosponsored with Life Without Drugs at IUP, a program managed by IUP MARTI and funded by a Pennsylvania Department of Drug and Alcohol Programs grant aimed at preventing and reducing the use of opioids by college students. Life Without Drugs at IUP notes that addiction is a gradual rewiring of the brain, the most important organ in the body. Their team is there to help #ProtectYourBrain.

This event is completely free!
