IUP-TV airs diverse and creative content that educates, informs, entertains, and inspires.
IUP-TV shows span a variety of categories, including news, sports, comedy, entertainment, and pop culture. The focus of IUP-TV, in conjunction with the Communications Media Department, is to advocate for unique and innovative student-produced and locally-produced programs of the highest professional quality.

IUP-TV’s newest show is Animation Nation, a production about all things “anime” with a goal to entertain and inform the audience after reviewing and watching anime series.
The Big Hit, IUP-TV’s student-produced sports talk show with coverage of IUP athletics, includes segments featuring IUP athletes. You can also hear debate and analysis on the four major professional sports leagues along with soccer, golf, and more. Our crew also talks about collegiate football and basketball.
Hawk Talk is an energetic show, in touch with the culture and events on the IUP campus. The diverse Hawk Talk cast interacts with students to learn opinions about current events, campus events, and happenings on social media through “Hawk on the Street.”
Indie Rocker’s Ball is a music show that brings you current events in the music industry through debates, album reviews, and live performances. Live musicians from Indiana County and the Pittsburgh area perform their original music. For our review segment, “Rocker’s Review,” IUP community members highlight their favorite artist and aspects of music to broaden our viewers’ musical horizons.
IUP-TV News is a weekly news program produced by students enrolled in COMM 451 Multimedia News Production. Student reporters cover IUP and Indiana news stories and produce a half-hour news show for the IUP and Indiana audiences.
Follow the IUP Crimson Hawks with replays of IUP home football and men’s and women’s basketball games on IUP-TV Sports. Students enrolled in COMM 360 Digital Sports Production produce games that are streamed live on the IUP web portal and then replayed on IUP-TV following the live game. During the game season, IUP-TV Sports also produces the weekly Coach’s Show with IUP’s head football and basketball coaches.
Press Start is a media platform for a community of video game enthusiasts, sharing opinions and more on the topic of video games. Press Start features different segments, including “Press Start News Round-Up,” game reviews, panel discussions, and “Let’s Play.” Our purpose is to provide the video game community with a place to learn about the latest games and news from the gaming world.
Sketch-O-Phrenia is an on-location sketch comedy show that showcases a wide variety of writing, on-air, production, and post-production talent. One central story is broken up by skits detailing topics anywhere from your average college social setting to a superhero’s life outside of work when he comes home to his family.
Witticism is a variety news program that brings the “wit” to current news. A light-hearted look at the news on topics ranging from crazy current events to humorous news headlines.
