Don’t be the person who leaves an interview saying, “If only I knew … the right words to say … or, how to have answered the questions being asked and how to compose myself after stumbling through a response … I could have landed that job!” Instead, be proactive and schedule a mock interview today.

Go to Marketplace and click Add to Cart, fill out the necessary information, follow directions, and save the confirmation email.
- Students may use an e-check, American Express, Discover, MasterCard, or Visa.
-
Students will upload a draft of their résumé and a cover letter or graduate school information at least two business days before their scheduled interview date listed in their confirmation email.
-
Students will complete a pre-interview “First Round: pre-recorded” activity on the Big Interview Platform at least two days before their interview date. Students will receive the Assignment Code via email.
-
Students should access the Career and Professional Development Center course on D2L, read the Mock Interview Program Guide, and review all materials. You are responsible for all posted information about preparing for your mock interview.
-
Students will select a date for their interview. Interviews take place between Monday, February 23, 2026, and Friday, May 1, 2026.

The Employer’s Corner Video and Dining Etiquette Quiz on D2L (no retakes!) is due on Sunday, April 11, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. Check with your professor if you are required to take either of these quizzes for academic credit.
-
If the interview date or deadlines are missed, a $25 charge will be applied for the makeup date.
Sign-Up Policy
It is your responsibility to fill out the Mock Interview Sign-Up Form to schedule your mock interview appointment during the designated sign-up period.
Any requests to schedule a mock interview appointment after the sign-up period are automatically required to purchase a “second mock interview” on IUP Marketplace. Spots are filled on a first-come, first-served basis.
Rescheduling Policy
It is your responsibility to ensure that you are able to attend the appointment you make. Students will be permitted to reschedule their mock interview appointment during the sign-up period, but reschedules will not be accepted after Friday, September 26, at 4:30 p.m.
Once the sign-up period has concluded (September 26), any reschedules of mock interview appointments will only be granted on a case-by-case basis at the discretion of the CPDC. If permission is granted, the interview appointment can be rescheduled as long as there are available time slots in the schedule. Students rescheduling at this point will need to purchase a second mock interview and complete the sign-up process again.
No Refund Policy
The Career and Professional Development Center does not offer mock interview or etiquette dinner payment refunds.
Exception
If the fee was paid and the class subsequently dropped before the drop/add period for the semester was over, the student may contact the Mock Interview Program coordinator for permission, and then contact the Student Billing office to request a refund for the purchase. Student Billing and/or the Career and Professional Development Center have the right to refuse a refund at any time, and refunds will not be permitted after the drop/add period is over.
Document Submission Policy
Students must submit all required documents (for example, résumé and cover letter) for their interview two days prior to their mock interview appointments to receive full credit on the Career and Professional Development Center D2L page. Should students fail to submit their documents in a specified manner and by the specified due date, they will forfeit all associated points for their mock interview grade. The interviewer may, however, still critique the documents and give feedback regardless of the date submitted.
No-Show Policy
If you fail to attend your scheduled mock interview appointment in person or do not sign on to the Zoom appointment within 15 minutes of your scheduled interview, you are considered to be a NO SHOW and will need to purchase a “second mock interview” for $25 on IUP Marketplace and go through the sign-up process again, if you intend to complete the mock interview assignment.
Accommodations
If you require/need accommodations for one of our programs, events, or services, please reach out to D2A2 at disability-access@iup.edu at least two weeks in advance of the program, event, or appointment for service.
