Join the IUP Career and Professional Development Center on Monday, March 28, at 6:00 p.m. in the HUB Ohio Room for Maximizing Your Executive Presence for Success. This event is also a part of the Six O’Clock Series.

Leadership is integral to professional success no matter the position we hold within an organization. Regardless of what you believe about how leaders evolve—they are born, or they learn to be leaders, or some combination of these—we all have the capacity to lead. Part of being a leader, however, is being seen and being respected as a leader. How do we make this happen, especially if it doesn't come to us naturally? We establish executive presence using tips, tricks, and tools based on best practices and research.

The Career and Professional Development Center’s Career Ready Seminar Series aims to provide targeted programming to help IUP students gain and understand the necessary skills and competencies to be successful in life after graduation.

Tammy Manko, director of the IUP Career and Professional Development Center, will be leading the evening’s presentation. "We know employers are looking for certain skills in the people they hire,” Manko said. “Leadership is one of these skills. When we develop our executive or leadership presence, we're increasing our likelihood of success. That's why we're providing programming on the topic of executive presence—we want our students and alumni to continue to be exemplary leaders and successful, fulfilled professionals."
